Description
This is a baby monitor app, with secure video and audio streaming, for Android and PC (using Java).
No accounts, no cloud servers, no telemetry, forever free and open source.
Nanna means "baby sleep" in Italian. But this is not just for babies!
Watch your pets, your plants, your home, or anything else you want to securely and privately keep an eye on.
This app requires pairing between devices. Run the app in recording mode on any Android 8+ device. Using pairing code or a QR, pair it with
another devices set to watching mode. Connect anytime to watch and/or listen.
Features:
* Secure video and audio streaming.
* Network discovery of recording apps on the same network.
* Secure pairing between devices, using a pairing code or QR code.
* Low light boost to see better in low light conditions.
* Silence detection to avoid sending audio when it's all quiet.
* Customizable recording quality.
* Draggable video feed to see the whole video feed on any screen.
* Works on Android 8.0 and later.
* Supports multiple recording devices and multiple watching devices.
* Private, and without any cloud services or telemetry: it stays on your home's network.
Nanna is also available as a desktop application for Linux, Windows and macOS, which can act as either a recording or a watching device;
it will work with the Android app in any combination. It is published together with this project's source code on GitHub.
An optional relay app lets paired devices reach each other from outside the home network. The relay only ever sees encrypted data, and you
host it yourself on a machine you control. Without it, the app streams only within a single local network. It is also published together with
this project's source code.
What’s new (5.3.7)
Added an error reporting request after a crash. Please send reports, it will help me fix bugs faster!
Pairings now work in both directions. After updating, update every device and pair them again.
Added version detection to detect connection attempts between incompatible versions: update both devices to the latest version if this happens.
Made pop-up messages dismissable by tapping/clicking on them.
