A multilingual fork of Kreate, focused on performance, UI/UX polish, bug fixes, and new features with long-term support.

Development & Stability: N-Zik started as a side project for myself and friends. It may not be as stable as Kreate yet — check out Metrolist, VIVI Music, or RiPlay for something more mature.

Transparent AI Usage: I use generative AI to assist with code (via the BMAD Method), but everything is reviewed and tested before shipping. Not your thing? No hard feelings — plenty of great alternatives exist.

🛡️ N-Zik is 100% open-source (FOSS). Key permissions: INTERNET (streaming/lyrics/updates), RECORD_AUDIO (visualizer only, opt-in, never listens), STORAGE (exports/backups), FOREGROUND_SERVICE/NOTIFICATIONS (playback), REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES (OTA), BLUETOOTH (wireless audio), WAKE_LOCK (keep playback alive).

📦 Available Builds
- Full & Beta: Complete build with all components (64-bit only)
- Full32 & Beta32: Complete build without FFmpeg (32-bit & 64-bit)
- Minified: Lightweight build, recommended for low-end devices (64-bit only)
- Minified32: Lightweight build without FFmpeg (32-bit & 64-bit)
- FOSS: Full build without auto-updater, for F-Droid (64-bit only)
- Dev & Dev32: Development builds from latest commits, testing only

Standard builds are 64-bit only because they bundle FFmpeg; "32" builds drop FFmpeg to work on both architectures. Only the FOSS build is on F-Droid.

Starting January 2027 (why the date changed), Google will require identity verification for all Android developers, even outside Google Play. As a Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) project, N-Zik and its developer oppose this requirement due to its impact on developer privacy, independent distribution, and software freedom.
