Description

monostr is a Nostr client for Android with tips in Monero.

Nostr, the way you know it
• Feed of the people you follow, threads, profiles with Posts and Replies tabs
• Like, repost, quote, reply; mentions, hashtags and links you can tap
• Pictures in notes and your own uploads (Blossom), sensitive content blurred
• Private messages (NIP-17), private bookmarks and mutes (NIP-51)
• Search for people and notes (NIP-50), notifications for likes, reposts, replies and tips
• Your relay list (NIP-65); write relays of an author are added while their profile is open
• Sign in with Amber (NIP-55) or a key; light and dark theme, 8 languages

Tips in Monero
• Tip a note or a profile from your own wallet app (Unstoppable, monfluo, Cake …) through a monero: link
• monostr holds no wallet and no spend key
• To receive tips you register your address and private view key with a watcher (watcher.monostr.com by default, or your own). The watcher sees your incoming payments and publishes signed tip receipts on Nostr, so everybody sees the tip on the note
• Anonymous tips are possible

Open
monostr is free software (AGPL-3.0-or-later). Notes, likes and reposts say “via monostr” (off by default, can be switched on). Follower numbers can come from Primal's index, a proprietary service; that is off by default and can be switched on too.

monostr is in beta.

What’s new (0.22.3)

• Refreshing the feed is a bit faster again: deleted notes are only checked since the last refresh
• A search you send is kept in recent searches even when you clear the field right away
