Fauxx - Privacy Through Deception

Fauxx is an open-source privacy tool that protects you by generating diverse, believable synthetic browsing activity in the background. By feeding data brokers and ad-tech platforms plausible off-demographic decoy activity that reads as real people, Fauxx makes your genuine behavioral signal indistinguishable from convincing fakes — deception, not easily-filterable noise.

This is the FULL version distributed via F-Droid and GitHub. It includes all modules, including location spoofing and ad profile pollution, which are not available in the Play Store version due to Google's policies.

HOW IT WORKS

Fauxx runs quietly in the background and performs diverse browsing activities across many topic categories — searches, page visits, DNS lookups, a stable per-persona device identity, ad profile pollution, and GPS location spoofing. The goal is to bury your real interests under a stream of coherent, believable decoy activity so that data brokers can't tell which "you" is real.

Fauxx is free, open-source, and contains no ads.

• New: Device Identity. Each persona now presents one stable, believable device, a consistent browser user-agent with matching device signals, instead of rotating at random. Coherent decoys are much harder for data brokers to filter out (#242).
• Fixed a crash when exporting a large log history to HTML or JSON (#239).
• LAN Sync now converges: a persona pushed to a paired phone is adopted as its active persona, so both devices match (#234).
