Description
Épione is a directory of French health facilities (hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, health centres, maternal and child welfare centres…), based on the public FINESS open data from data.gouv.fr.
Works fully offline: all data is bundled in the app and available without a connection.
Features:
• Search by name, city or postal code
• Category filters (pharmacy, hospital, laboratory, health centre…)
• Sort by distance and radius filter (native location, no Google services)
• Favourites
• Directions, call and website in one tap
• 4 themes, light and dark
Privacy-friendly: no account, no ads, no tracking. Your location, if you enable it, never leaves your phone.
The database updates via Codeberg; this is the only operation that uses the network.
Note: the app's interface is in French only, as is the FINESS data it covers (facility names and types come from the French health ministry's dataset). An English translation of the interface is planned.
Data: FINESS (French Ministry of Health), under the Open Licence v2.0 (Etalab).
Application released under the free GPLv3 licence.
What’s new (1.5.2)
• No app changes: updated the F-Droid listing (English description) to clarify that the interface is French-only.
