Description
Do The Thing is a personal coaching task manager that acts less like a static
checklist and more like an active coach — surfacing what matters today and
nudging you toward it.
Features:
* Seven task types: simple to-dos, deadlines, recurring tasks,
randomized-interval tasks, important annual dates, timed goals, and daily
habit check-ins.
* A two-factor engine that ranks tasks by both urgency (time pressure) and
importance (priority), with automatic escalation and a per-task priority
ceiling so nothing quietly takes over your list.
* Five coach personas, from "Just the Facts" to "Hype Person," each with its
own voice across daily briefings, check-ins, and your evening wrap-up.
* Adjustable notification intensity and a full daily cadence: morning briefing,
midday check-ins, evening wrap-up, and a weekly review.
* On-device backup and restore — export a copy yourself or let the app keep a
rolling weekly backup automatically.
Privacy:
Do The Thing is fully offline. There is no account, no cloud sync, no
analytics, no ads, and no tracking. All data stays on your device.
Notifications are scheduled locally and do not use Google Play Services or
Firebase.
What’s new (1.2.1)
Smaller downloads.
The app is now split into separate builds per device architecture (ABI
split), so each download only carries the native code your phone actually
uses instead of bundling every CPU type into one large APK. No feature or
behaviour changes in this release.
