DeBurrow

DeBurrow is a modern, native Android client for the Gopher protocol — the pre-web,
text-first way to browse "Gopherspace". Built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Features:

* Browse Gopher menus, read text files, and view images
* ANSI-color and word-wrapping text viewer — colored .ansi art renders in color, with a
one-tap toggle to no-wrap for fixed-width maps and tables
* Veronica / type-7 search with a query prompt and tappable results
* Address-bar navigation, bookmarks, browse history, and search history
* Downloads for binary items, response caching, and TLS (gophers://)
* Opens gopher:// and gophers:// links from other apps, even while running
* Material 3 theming and an adaptive (and Android 13 themed) launcher icon

DeBurrow is a modern evolution of "Pocket Gopher", a 2010 J2ME client by Felix Pleșoianu,
with parsing code and ideas by Nuno J. Silva.

Readable ANSI art on the light theme.

ANSI pages now render on a black backdrop, the background the xterm palette
they use was drawn against. Previously the light end of that palette (grey and
white text) was painted onto the light Material surface and was near-invisible.
