Description

Crate is the native Android companion for the Crate Nextcloud app — a personal
catalogue for your physical media collection.

Browse and manage your music, films, books, games and comics on the go.
Everything is stored on your own Nextcloud server, so you own your data.

Features:

* Browse your collection by category, format and artist
* Card or list view, with format-filter chips and per-format totals
* Full album / film / book / game / comic detail view with tracklist,
cast, author bio and more
* Record what you originally paid alongside the current market value,
with gain or loss surfaced on each item
* Add up to two extra user photos per item — receipts, sleevenotes,
disc shots — separate from the cover artwork
* Wishlist — track what you want next
* Barcode scanning to add new items quickly
* Enrich items automatically from Discogs, TMDB, Open Library, RAWG or
ComicVine (you provide your own API keys)
* Market values (Discogs for music, PriceCharting for games and comics)
* Share albums or playlists with other users of your Nextcloud instance
* Full offline mode — your collection is cached locally and syncs when
you have a connection
* Strips EXIF / GPS metadata from uploaded photos before they leave the
device
* Follows the Material 3 design system in Nextcloud's brand colours so
it sits alongside the official Nextcloud client suite

Requires a Nextcloud instance running the Crate server app:

This build contains no proprietary Google services and is fully open
source under the AGPL-3.0 licence.

What’s new (1.18.0)

Reliability and privacy fixes from two audit passes.

- Items shared with you no longer appear in your own
collection, search or home feed.
- Wiping one category no longer empties the whole app until
the next sync, and playlists keep the server's order.
- Sync no longer skips an item edited in the same second as
another, or strands rows behind a partial sweep.
- A photo whose location data cannot be stripped is refused
rather than uploaded.
- Failed artwork uploads are reported, not sile
