Description
A free app for streaming from your phone while you move around. It publishes to Twitch and to any server that speaks RTMP, SRT or WHIP.
And when one network isn't enough, it can bond several links into a single stream, so the broadcast survives the walk from Wi-Fi to cellular instead of falling apart on the way. That part needs your own SRTLA-capable receiver.
An open alternative to the closed IRL apps on Android.
THIS IS A BETA
It works and has been used on air, but on a single device — a Samsung S21. Untested: WHIP against a live receiver, MP4 recording over long sessions, Moblink with a real second phone. Donation overlays support DonationAlerts only. The full list of limitations is in the project description on GitHub.
TRANSPORT
* SRTLA — bonds several links into one stream. The SRT and SRTLA client is written from scratch, not a wrapper around someone else's library.
* Plain SRT for receivers without SRTLA; the URL scheme picks the mode.
* RTMP and WHIP for when bonding isn't needed.
* Per-link priorities and weights, reconnect after a drop.
* Adaptive bitrate: RTT and its jitter, send buffer size, window-forced losses. Three aggressiveness profiles.
VIDEO AND AUDIO
* 720p and 1080p, H.264 and HEVC, hardware encoder.
* Scenes: camera, a "be right back" still, or screen capture. Each carries its own overlays, camera side and audio mode.
* Lens selection, zoom, torch, tap to focus, optical and electronic stabilisation controlled separately.
* Microphone capsule selection, including wired, Bluetooth and USB.
AUDIENCE
* Twitch, Kick and VK Video Live chat in one feed, anonymously. Shown to the streamer only, never in the stream.
* DonationAlerts overlays: image and caption drawn straight into the frame, with the donation sound optionally mixed in.
* Any web page as a source of picture in the frame.
ALSO
* Moblink: another phone contributes its link as an extra uplink.
* MP4 recording alongside the broadcast, from the same encoder.
* Configurable HUD and quick buttons on the streamer screen.
* Session log: power, temperature and transport figures once per second, for outings where no debugger can be attached.
REQUIREMENTS
Android 10 or newer, a hardware encoder, and a receiver that speaks SRTLA. Bonding needs several network interfaces at once.
What’s new (0.2.0-beta)
First-run wizard; settings offer only what the phone supports; microphone level
meter; DonatePay, iHAQ and other donation services; chat emotes; WHIP to http://
servers. Fixed: bonding failed when the first link to connect was dead; Reconnect
left SRTLA stuck; plain SRT died when leaving Wi-Fi; mute in the phone-audio scene;
the mascot loaded the CPU.
