Description

Alpha GPS geotags your photos by transmitting your phone's GPS location to Sony Alpha cameras over Bluetooth LE — a lightweight alternative to the official apps. It also offers a Bluetooth remote shutter. Features

  • Continuous location transmission to the camera while shooting, including automatic time synchronization
  • Automatic reconnection when the camera is turned on, even with the app in the background and the screen off (via Android's companion device manager)
  • Remote shutter with a focus → shutter sequence
  • Optional "Always On" foreground service for devices with aggressive battery management
  • Multiple cameras can be paired
  • No account, no ads, no tracking
Works with Sony cameras that support location linking via Bluetooth (as used by Imaging Edge Mobile or Creators' App).

- Improved Wi-Fi remote compatibility for the Sony ZV-1 and other older Sony cameras, including live view startup and photo transfer.
- Fixed repeated Bluetooth disconnections during location sharing with cameras such as the Sony RX0 II when Always On is disabled.
