Description
0x56erify is a minimal, offline-first checksum verification tool for Android.
Pick a file with the system document picker, compute its SHA-256 or SHA-512
checksum, and compare it against a hash you paste in (for example, one
published alongside a download) to confirm the file wasn't corrupted or
tampered with.
Features:
* Pick any file using Android's built-in Storage Access Framework picker
* Compute SHA-256 or SHA-512 checksums
* Streamed hashing: large files are never fully loaded into memory
* Copy or share the computed hash
* Paste an expected hash and get a clear MATCH / MISMATCH result
* Case-insensitive, whitespace-tolerant hash comparison
Privacy and permissions:
* All processing happens entirely on-device
* No network access, no INTERNET permission, no analytics, no ads, no accounts
* No broad storage permissions - files are accessed only through the system
picker for the duration of the operation
* No proprietary or Google Play Services / Firebase dependencies
0x56erify is free and open source software, released under the Apache

What’s new (0.1.2)
0.1.2 - Build/release metadata fix
- Disable Android Gradle Plugin's dependency metadata block
(dependenciesInfo.includeInApk/includeInBundle) in the release build.
This block is used for Play Console reporting and is irrelevant off
Play; it was flagged by F-Droid's reproducible-build tooling as an
unwanted extra signing block. No app functionality changed.
